Cooper - Spiderman - was a ghost earlier that day - he changed his mind when he heard his cousin and best friend Colin was going to be Spiderman! The costume was Ashlyn's at 4 yrs.

The Newest Fruit Smoothie Blend

I thought the name of our blog was appropriate considering we are a blended family, we ARE a bunch a fruits and we all love smoothies and places like Jamba Juice! It's one thing we can all agree on. :) Which in any family there are few things that fall into that category. This isn't a cut and dried family/couple website either. It is going to be a hodge podge of people with different last names and different combinations of people depending on the flavor of the month! And we are a 100% pure BLEND (Brady Bunch type).

Our immediate family is made up of me, Courtney, my husband Jody, his daughter Sarah, my daughter Ashlyn and my son Cooper. And don't even get me started on grandparents and great-grandparents, some by marriage and some biological, our children's other parents and Sarah's new half-sibling!
The fruits are gonna change constantly, but HEY, that's what smoothies are all about. Let it be said that we are all a family and we are all connected in one way or another and each one is important to the whole. I'm looking forward to when our blended family runs smoothly. Right now, we are still in the blender!! But it's gonna be good when it's through mixing!

Here are a few pictures from Ashlyn's swimming birthday party. She designed and help decorate her cake. Those are marshmallows! This was on June 30th even though her actual birthday was the 6th of July. She wanted to have her party that day so that Sarah could attend. Sarah left for Washington on July 3rd and Ashlyn was going out of town the 5th. The kids all got funny sunglasses and we decorated in Pirates of the Caribbean cuz that is Ashlyn's favorite. The kids had a lot of fun at the pool.
